What is in the Body of Knowledge, and which membership includes it?
The BoK connects 986 resources across seven knowledge branches and 11 industry sectors, including practical guidance, procedures, templates, checklists, tools, and worked examples. Full BoK access is included with Professional and Corporate membership. Associate membership provides selected introductory resources and standards previews. What do I get immediately after joining?
Your member dashboard provides the resources available to your plan. Associate members can start with the standards preview, introductory learning and self-assessment. Professional members can access the standards, Body of Knowledge, Project Setup Wizard, tools, templates and certification roadmap.
Is the first certification exam sitting included?
Yes. Professional Annual membership includes your first ICxA certification exam sitting. Corporate membership includes a first sitting for each named member. Follow the Certification Exams link in your member dashboard; contact info@icxa.net if you need help arranging your included sitting. Subsequent attempts and other exam sittings may carry fees.
Does joining make me certified?
Membership provides resources, affiliation and access to the certification pathway. Certification is earned by meeting the applicable examination, experience and evidence requirements. A membership badge identifies membership and does not certify competence.
How is Associate access different from Professional access?
Associate membership includes selected introductory resources, a standards preview, self-assessment and guidance. Professional membership adds the licensed standards, full Body of Knowledge research through Ask ICxA, member tools and templates, a personalized membership badge and the certification pathway. Two Capital Provider tools are also available to Associate members.
Who can join?
Professionals involved in commissioning, startup, completions, operational readiness, engineering, operations, assurance and project leadership. You do not need an engineering degree to join. Certification has its own requirements.
How do annual payments and cancellation work?
Professional Annual membership costs $249 USD per year, plus applicable taxes, and renews annually unless cancelled. Manage your subscription from your account. Corporate membership starts at $2,500 USD per year, with card or Invoice / Purchase Order payment options.
